Description
Nutramar Tigrio is a packaged culture of living Tigriopus sp. copepods. These copepods are an excellent source of nutrition for your marine aquarium inhabitants as they contain protein and essential unsaturated fatty acids (HUFAs). Besides being a great food for fishes and invertebrates, these copepods will inhabit the aquarium and serve the function of active detritivores.

Each bottle of Nutramar Tigrio is cultured in house to provide the upmost quality and nutrition. The copepods erratic swimming motion will tempt many finicky fishes to begin feeding eagerly. This is an excellent food for filter feeding corals and other invertebrates. Nutramar Tigrio is cultured in purified and ozonized saltwater in a controlled environment.
Feeding Instructions
It is completely safe to add Nutramar Tigrio directly to your aquarium. Pour the entire contents into your aquarium and rinse the bottle with aquarium water to ensure all the copepods are added. Actively feeding fish will seek out the copepods when the aquarium is illuminated.
How to Seed Your Aquarium/ Refugium
Acclimate your pods by floating the bottle in your tank for 10 minutes. If you wish to establish an ongoing population, it is recommended to add the copepods to the aquarium when the lights are off or into a refugium. This will give them a chance to settle into protected locations. Dose Nutramar CRIT to your aquarium to provide food for the pods as well as other filter feeding organisms in your aquarium (15-30 ml/ 50 gal each day).
Storage
Nutramar Tigrio should be stored at a consistent temperature below 75oF, and out of direct sunlight. This will prevent harmful temperature fluctuations and algae growth. Oxygen is consumed by the living copepods, and so it is recommended leave the cap open during storage. For long-term storage, it is recommended that Nutramar Tigrio be refrigerated between 40-50oF.

Came in as good and healthy as I could ever ask for awesome addition to my hang on the back refugium they most definitely keep my beautiful female mandarin dragonet extremely well fed and happy I add a bottle or two whenever I make an order I’ve got a reasonably well established system with about 50-60lbs. Of live rock and 3/4” fine sand bed now that I have the refugium on the back my system has been able to handle “Misty’s” extreme eating habits and stay ahead where before it was barely keeping up with demands keep in mind this is a fluval flex 32.5 mixed reef mostly LPS (Trachea’s, Chalice’s, Euphillia, Acans, Favia/Favities Cyphastrea etc.) A good bit of Softies (specifically Zoanthids and Mushroom anemones) a fair amount of SPS (mostly sticking to a handful of species depending who you ask/where your buying Leptoseris mostly considered LPS idk beyond I love it and closely related Pavona, Montipora plating & encrusting species, as well as Stylophora,) they do well I’ve got the return pump upgraded to a sicce syncre silent 1.5 and have 2 sicce voyager nanos one 1000 and one 2000 I have the fluval PS1 skimmer and I have a second fluval sea light in the canopy set basically identical with a little bit longer moonlight mode on the back for viewing offset them on sunrise I run the stock filter sponges and media I modified them slightly to make room for the return on the HOB refugium and the thing runs like a. Champ and only place on the internet for this info that I know of…. The AquaMaxx/AquaReady HOB-R fits the stock fluval flex 32.5 the canopy has to be bobbed a little only along the edges around the access panel nothing that effects the looks or function negatively but it’s a definite improvement over stock just having it as a pod farm then just wait throw the Tunze eco-Chic and a timer and really the one thing that I need to do
Is get a ATO for freshwater but I check my SG daily and top off as need be but for the rare occasions that I’m away for a few days or more…. Also have a BLUETTI portable power station that when I’m away will kick on within milliseconds of the power going off when I’m not home etc. sorry for the long winded review the pods are kicking in the best way possible so why not offer some of what I’m using them for and how my specific system is set up mostly off of a whim and a prayer some of this stuff I just set or went off obscure measurements and hoped for the best fully prepared for backtrack at the drop of a hat either way good luck fellow reefers and CandyCorals you guys are literally the best!!!
